This fish and chip shop in Brockley has a separate gluten-free fryer and cabinet, and serves gluten-free fish and chips Sunday to Thursday. The fish and chips are really fresh with super crispy batter, and even gluten-free homemade tartare sauce.

The food

When we visited, I ordered the gluten-free haddock with regular chips and homemade gluten-free tartare sauce. The homemade tartare sauce was really tasty, and the mushy peas were also a gluten-free side option (the curry sauce sadly does contain gluten, which is a shame as it’s my favourite!). Brockley's Rock also serve a vegan menu daily, as well as grilled options, and have an allergen matrix on their website linked above.

Where to find them

You can find Brockley’s Rock on Brockley High Street, about a 10 minute walk from Brockley Station (full address above). It is a short walk away from Hilly Fields, a lovely park in Brockley with great views over to Crystal Palace and towards central London, which is where we like to go to eat our fish and chips.
